Abbas Accepts Resignation of Prime Minister Hamdallah

RAMALLAH, June 23, 2013 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas accepted the resignation of newly-appointed prime minister Rami Hamdallah, who has been in office for less than a month, and asked him to stay on as a caretaker government until a new one is formed, presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said Sunday.

President Mahmoud Abbas has asked Rami Hamdallah, president of Najah National University, on June third to form a new government following the resignation of Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
