TUNISIA, May 13, 2015 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Wednesday met with his Tunisian counterpart al-Habib Essid in Tunisia as part of a three day official visit to Tunisia.
They discussed the latest developments concerning the Palestinian issue; with regard to international obligations and the Palestinian demands, and the implementation of international legitimacy resolutions.
They further discussed the Palestinian internal reconciliation, the need to hold presidential and legislative elections in order to ease the way toward the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip following the Israeli 2014 summer aggression on the strip.
They also discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, where Abbas praised Tunisia’s role in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Abbas also met with other Tunisian key figures.
