Abbas Offers Condolences for Death of Italian Journalist in Gaza

RAMALLAH, August 17, 2014 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday offered his condolences to the family of Simone Camilli, an Italian journalist who was killed on duty in an explosion resulting from the remnants of Israeli rockets left behind by Israeli soldiers during the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Abbas said that, “We offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Government and friendly people of Italy,” adding that, “His memory will remain in the hearts of the Palestinian people.”

“He was a distinctively brave struggler, and he offered honorable services to his profession and to the humanity as a whole for which he deserves to be thanked and praised.”
