Abbas to Head to Egypt on Wednesday to Insure Success of Egyptian-Proposed Ceasefire

RAMALLAH, July 15, 2014 (WAFA) – presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that president Mahmoud Abbas will head to Egypt on Wednesday to meet with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, for consultation and coordination to insure the success of the Egyptian initiative to achieve an immediate ceasefire and stabilize the truce.

He said that Abbas is also scheduled to pay Turkey a visit on the 18th of July to discuss the issue. He added that Abbas will hold contacts with Arab and international sides to work on a ceasefire and to restore calm.
