Army Crushes Rally in Hebron, Blocks Main Road Near Ramallah

HEBRON, October 17, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli army Saturday crushed a peaceful rally in the Hebron area of Bab al-Zawyeh, whereas other forces blocked – with earth mounds – the main road leading to villages that are located to the northeast of Ramallah, according to WAFA correspondent.

Israeli army soldiers crushed a peaceful rally protesting the latest Israeli aggression committed against Palestinians and holy sites, particularly Israel’s growing dominance over al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem, joined by its attempts to temporally divide the mosque compound between Muslims and Jews.

Forces reportedly fired rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters toward protesters, causing many suffocation cases among them due to excessive tear gas inhalation.

Meanwhile, forces blocked the main road that leads to villages to the northeast of Ramallah with earth mounds, preventing Palestinians locals’ traffic movement.

Local sources reported that the army blocked the main road the  connects the villages of Silwad, Al Mazra’ah ash Sharqīyah, Deir Jarir, Deir Dibwan, Kafr Malik, Taybeh, and other Bedouin communities with Ramallah.

In the meantime, forces raided the home of local Kamal Assaf in the town of Arraba to the south of Jenin, where they searched the house and interrogated its residents, however, no arrests were made.
