ABIDJAN, February 5, 2015 (WAFA) – Prime Minister of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire Daniel Kablan Duncan Thursday affirmed his country’s absolute support to the independence and Palestinian statehood as well as reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the conflict in the Middle East.
Duncan said during a meeting with the Ambassador of Palestine to Côte d’Ivoire Atef Oudeh that the African country wishes to develop its relations with Palestine in all sectors in addition to sign bilateral agreements in political, economic and cultural fields.
Both Duncan and Oudeh agreed to arrange a cultural event in Abidjan the capital from April 1 until April 7 and hold a conference for Palestinian businessmen by the end of April.
Oudeh delivered a message from President Mahmoud Abbas to Duncan and invited him to visit Palestine. Preparations for the visit are currently underway where a delegation from Côte d’Ivoire is soon expected to visit Palestine.
