CARACAS, August 25, 2013 (WAFA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Riyad al-Malki Sunday signed a cooperation agreement in the field of energy with his Venezuelan counterpart Elias Hawa in the ministry of foreign affairs.
In a press conference following the signing of the agreement, Hawa stressed the depth of relations between the two countries as well as Venezuela’s absolute and unconditional support for the struggle of the Palestinian people in order to regain their national rights and establish their independent state.
To be noted, Venezuela also decided to build an eye hospital in Palestine worth $ 15 million, with a first installment mounting to five million dollars.
Hawa is expected to lay the foundation stone of the hospital during his next planned visit to Palestine.
Al-Maliki’s visit to Venezuela came at the end of a tour which included south of America and the Caribbean Islands.
