AL-BIREH, July 9, 2014 – (WAFA) – Four Palestinians were shot and  injured early Wednesday during clashes with Israeli forces at the northern entrance of Al-Bireh.

Protected by Israeli forces, Israeli settlers from Beit El, an illegal Israeli settlement in central West Bank, broke into the outskirts of Al-Bireh, firing shots in the air, which triggered clashes with the residents.

Clashes erupted between settlers and Palestinians who confronted them before Israeli forces intervened; Israeli forces fired live and rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at Palestinians, shooting and injuring three with live bullets and another with a rubber-coated bullet as well as causing dozens to suffer from tear gas suffocation.
