Hamdallah Briefs Norwegian Minister on Latest Political Developments

RAMALLAH, September 7, 2014 (WAFA) – Prime Minster Rami Hamdallah Sunday briefed the Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende on the latest political developments and the efforts undertaken by the government for the relief and the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, said a statement issued by the premier’s office.

The Prime Minster, during a meeting with Brende at Hamdallah’s office in Ramallah, discussed with Brende the agenda of the donor’s conference (AHLC), which will be held in New York in the upcoming weeks.

Hamdallah stressed that the reconstruction process of the Strip and the reinforcing of several sectors in both East Jerusalem and the West Bank will be the main topics discussed during the conference.

Hamdallah briefed the minister on the government’s efforts to contact international and humanitarian organizations to provide relief supplies, medical aid and basic reconstruction materials into the coastal enclave in order to reconstruct the destroyed houses and provide shelter for displaced Palestinians after Israeli aggression.
