RAMALLAH, August 10, 2014 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah Sunday praised the Italian government’s 17 million Euros of aid support to the Gaza Strip.
During a meeting with Britain’s Vice-Consul in Jerusalem, Benjamin Saul, and his accompanying delegation at the PM’s office in Ramallah, Hamdallah praised the Italian government’s financial support to Gaza and the sending of a team of NHS medical experts to the strip.
They discussed ways to relieve the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza as well as the priorities set by the Palestinian government in order to rebuild the strip after the end of the Israeli criminal aggression against it.
Hamdallah briefed Saul on calls made to the world countries by the Palestinian government to provide assistance to the people of Gaza, including examining the possibility of sending ships to generate electricity for the Gaza Strip.
Hamdalalh called for more international efforts to end the Israeli aggression and to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
