Israel Arrests 12, including Lawmakers, in Hebron

CLASHES BETWEEN ISRAELI SECURITY FORCES AND PALESTINIAN PROTESTERS NEAR THE WEST BANK VILLAGE OF BITDUKU

HEBRON, July 16, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli army Wednesday arrested 12 Palestinians, including two members of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), during predawn raids across the southern West Bank district of Hebron, according to security sources and witnesses.

During the late night hours, Israeli soldiers broke through the town Yatta, south of Hebron, and arrested MP Khalil ar-Rabe’i, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council.

Forces also arrested MP Sameer al-Qadi, also a PLC member, after storming the town of Surif.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces stormed the town of Bani Na’im, east of Hebron, where they arrested 10 Palestinians, including four teenagers.
