Israel Blocks Entrance of Ramallah Village for Second Day

RAMALLAH, October 21, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday continued to block the entrance of Ni‘lin village, west of Ramallah, for the second consecutive day, said a municipal sources.

Member of Ni‘lin Municipal Council ‘Abdul-Hafith Musleh told WAFA that Israeli forces blocked the village for the second consecutive day with concrete blocks placed at its entrance.

He added that soldiers stationed at the entrance prevented Palestinian villagers from approaching and crossing the entrance, not even on foot.

This came a day after Israeli forces stormed the village and closed its entrances, sparking violent clashes with the villagers.

Israeli forces reportedly fired live and rubber-coated steel bullets as well as tear gas canisters at locals, shooting and injuring two Palestinians with live bullets and causing dozens others to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation. Many other locals sustained various injuries after being hit with rubber-coated bullets.

Mohammad Qahoush, 16, sustained a serious injury after being hit with a live bullet in his head. The other villager was hit with a live bullet in the thigh and his condition was described as moderate.
