Israel Detains 14 Palestinians in West Bank, Summons Man

JERUSALEM, October 24, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained overnight 14 Palestinians, including two minors, from several West Bank districts, as well as summoned a man in his thirties for interrogation.

Israeli forces detained 11 Palestinians from Jerusalem district, two others from Jenin district, in addition to another from Hebron district, after breaking into and ransacking their homes. Forces also summoned A local man from Ramallah district.

In Jerusalem district, Israeli police launched a predawn large-scale raid and detention campaign, where they detained 11 Palestinians, including two minors.

In the Jerusalem neighborhood of al-‘Issawiya, forces detained four identified as Wajdi Mahmoud, Daoud ‘Attiyeh, ‘Abed Dari and Muhammad Naser.

Another Palestinian was detained during a predawn raid into the Silwan neighborhood of Ras al-‘Amud, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. The detainee was identified as Faraj al-Julani.

Furthermore, a Palestinian minor identified as Tawfiq Abu Dhaim, 16, was detained as Israeli police raided the Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukabir.

Two other Palestinians identified as Nidal al-Bazlamit, a minor, and Radwan ‘Abdul-Rahman, 19, were detained as police raided the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ath-Thuri.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians identified as Zuhair Az-Zir aad Samer Ash-Shaludi were detained during a predawn raid into the Jerusalem town of Silwan.

To be noted, Ash-Shaludi’s mother and youngest brother, who were not identified, were detained several days ago. Ash-Shaludi’s brother was released on condition of being held in solitary confinement and expelled to the Jerusalem refugee camp of Shu‘fat.

Another Palestinian was detained by police from Abu Dis, town, south of the city. He was identified as ‘Awni Salah.

Meanwhile in Jenin district, Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp, where they proceeded to detain two Palestinians after breaking into and searching their houses.

The detainees were identified as Yahya Turkuman, in his twenties, and Islam Hamed, a Palestinian from Ramallah, who happened to be inside the camp.

During the predawn raid, forces stormed, ransacked and wreaked havoc into several houses. One homeowner was identified as Omar As-Staiti.

Furthermore, forces raided Qabatia town, south of the city, where they broke into, ransacked several houses and interrogated their homeowners. One of the homeowners was identified as Faysal Saba‘na.

Furthermore, a Palestinian from Beit Ula town, west of Hebron, was detained by police, while he was present inside the 1948 occupied land.

The detainee was identified as Muhammad al-‘Adam, 22.

In the meantime in Ramallah, forces summoned a Palestinian after breaking into and ransacking his house in Deir Ghassana town, north of the city.

Maymoun al-Barghouthi, 35, was handed a notice ordering him to turn himself over to Israeli intelligence.
