CLASHES BETWEEN ISRAELI SECURITY FORCES AND PALESTINIAN PROTESTERS NEAR THE WEST BANK VILLAGE OF BITDUKU

JERUSALEM, September 28, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli Police on Sunday arrested three Palestinians in the town of al-Ezariya, southeast of Jerusalem, as well as summoned a resident of an area to the northwest of Ramallah a notice to appear for interrogation, according to witnesses.

They said police stormed the village and arrested three youths after raiding and searching their homes. They were led to an unknown destination.

Meanwhile, Israeli army forces set up two checkpoints at main roads near Jenin, in the northern West Bank, intercepting and interrogating some passengers, causing a traffic jam. No arrests were reported.

Forces further stormed several villages in Ramallah district, where they handed a summon notice to a local resident to appear for interrogation. The forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades towards the residents in the village of Surda, north of Ramallah, causing fire to erupt in nearby agricultural land. Civil defense crews rushed to the scene and put out the fire.
