BETHLEHEM, September 18, 2014 – (WAFA) – Israeli forces arrested early Thursday eight Palestinians, including the legal unit coordinator of a local human rights organization, from Bethlehem, Jenin and Ramallah, said security sources and witnesses.

In Bethlehem district, Israeli forces raided Nahalin to the west of the city, where they arrested four Palestinians aged 27, 31, 39 and 26 years after breaking into and ransacking their homes.

In Jenin district, Israeli troops raided Mariha, a village to the south of the city, where they arrested a 21-year-old Palestinian, who is a resident from ‘Anin village.

They also broke into Faqqou‘a village, where they interrogated a Palestinian family after breaking into and ransacking their home.

They also raided Kufr Dan to the west of the city, where they arrested two Palestinians aged 22 and 24 years after breaking into and ransacking their families’ homes.

Meanwhile, troops set up several roadblocks at the entrances of Ya‘bad to the southwest of the city, and deployed in nearby olive orchards and minor roads, preventing local farmers from accessing their lands.

Meanwhile in Ramallah district, troops raided Saffa to the west of the city, where they arrested the legal unit coordinator of a local human rights organization.

Forces arrested Ayman Nasser, 44, after breaking into his home in the village. Nasser is the legal unit coordinator at Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association.

According to a press release by Addameer, Nasser’s wife reported that “at 1:30AM, a large number of IOF raided our house while we were sleeping. We woke up to the sounds of heavy knocking on the front door and my husband, Ayman, rushed to open the door. Around 15 soldiers raided the house and started yelling at me and my children, demanding us to move to the living room.”

“Six soldiers, including one female soldier, pointed their weapons at us while we waited in the living room. Half an hour later, a military officer identified Ayman and took him outside the house. Ayman returned with the officer after ten minutes, and said goodbye to us,” she added.
