Israeli Forces Arrest Two in West Bank

WESTBANK January 22, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces arrested on Thursday two Palestinians, and detained another two, in various areas of the west bank, according to security sources.

Sources told WAFA Israeli soldiers arrested 17-year-old Yaser Masharqa in Dura south of Hebron, and detained Mohammad Hamdan, Izz al-Deen Hrebat, for several hours after searching their homes.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces arrested 24-year-old Ahmad Khalaf in the town of Burqin southwest of Jenin, after raiding the town and searching his home, added the security source.

Since the start of 2015, WAFA reported that around 127 have been arrested by Israeli soldiers in both the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The number is not accurate as many arrests might sometimes remain unreported.

Meanwhile, roughly 70 Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons received either new administrative detention orders or had their old orders renewed. They remain held in prison beyond the legally allowed period of time allowed for investigation purposes and are denied their right to stand a trial or learn the charges under which they were detained.
