Israeli Forces Injure Two Palestinians, Arrest Two others

BETHLEHEM, March 1, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday shot two Palestinians in their feet and arrested two others from the West Bank district of Bethlehem, according to security sources.

Sources told WAFA that Israeli forces raided Dheisheh Refugee Camp and arrested 26-year-old Bilal al-Saifi, spurring confrontations with locals.

Forces fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters and stun grenades toward residents, shooting and injuring two locals in their feet. The injured were transferred to hospital for medical treatment.

One of the cases necessitated a surgery, but was described as moderate, while the other local sustained a light injury.

Forces also arrested 30-year-old Nahar Rashaydeh from Ar- Rashida village, east of Bethlehem city, after raiding and searching his home.

Meanwhile, forces handed Fahid al-Qasrawi a notice to appear before the Israeli intelligence for interrogation. They also stormed al-Fawwar refugee camp, where they detained several youths for hours before releasing them.

Soldiers also set up a military checkpoint at the southern part of the city of Hebron, stopping and searching passing Palestinian registered vehicles.

Meanwhile, forces raided and photographed a house and its surroundings in the Hebron’s town of Beit Ummar.
