Israeli Navy Boats Open Fire at Gaza Fishermen

GAZA, May 21, 2013 (WAFA) – Israeli navy boats Tuesday opened fire at Palestinian fishermen boats fishing along the coast of Gaza, with no injuries reported, according to one of the fishermen.

He told WAFA that Israeli navy fired heavy artillery at the boats while they were fishing in the Gaza allowed fishing range, forcing them to return to shore.

Israel restricts fishing rights to Gaza fishermen to only three miles of the 20 miles agreed upon in the Oslo accords.
