Israeli Police Arrest 14 Members of West Jerusalem Synagogue Attackers’ Family

JERUSALEM, November 18, 2014 – (WAFA) – Israeli police arrested Tuesday around 14 members of the family of the two Palestinians suspected of an attack on a West Jerusalem synagogue.

WAFA correspondent reported that hundreds of police officers raided and closed off Jabal al-Mukaber, where the houses of the two suspects are located, attacking two homes of Abu Jamal family with tear gas and stun grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets.

They broke into the homes and arrested 14 members of Abu Jamal family, spurring clashes and injured 22 others at the scene.

Two Palestinians from the neighborhood were shot dead early Tuesday by police after they attacked a West Jerusalem synagogue, killing five Israelis. They were identified as Ghassan and Udayy Abu Jamal.
