BETHLEHEM, February 24, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces shot dead early Tuesday a Palestinian teenager during a predawn raid in Duheisha refugee camp to the south of Bethlehem, said security sources.
Jihad al-Ja‘fari, 19, was shot in the heart while standing on the roof of his family’s house in the camp.
Al-Ja‘fari was shot dead after Israeli forces opened fire toward Palestinian locals during an arrest and search raid. He was rushed to al-Yamama hospital in al-Khader town near Bethlehem, where he was pronounced dead.
Palestinian media reported that following the Public Attorney’s decision and at the request of his family, al-Ja‘fari’s body would undergo an autopsy at Abu Dis Forensics Institute.
The funeral will be held after noon prayers in the main mosque in Duheisha camp. The funeral procession would proceed from the mosque to the Martyrs Courtyard, where al-Ja‘fari will be laid to rest.
