Israeli Soldiers Shoot Dead Farmer near Gaza Border

GAZA, November 23, 2014 (WAFA) – A Palestinian farmer Sunday was shot dead by Israeli soldiers stationed along the border with the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

Fadel Mohammad Halawa, 32, was targeted with live ammunition by Israeli soldiers stationed at border watchtowers east of the town of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip. The bullet went through Halawa’s back coming out of his abdomen, killing him on the spot, the sources reported.

Halawa is the first Palestinian killed in Gaza following the Israeli onslaught last July, which claimed the souls of over two thousand Palestinians.

Since then, daily violations by the Israeli army and the navy has been reported against Gazans, despite an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire agreement signed on August 26.
