Japanese NGO Inaugurates New Educational Project in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, February 10, 2015 (WAFA) – Japan funded through its Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects, a new educational project in Jerusalem with a total amount of $312,280, said the Representative Office of Japan to the PA in a press release Tuesday.

Representative of Japan to the Palestinian Authority, Junya Matsuura, and Kentaro Sato, the Representative of Kokkyo naki Kodomotachi -Children without Borders- (KnK), a Japanese NGO, signed on Monday the grant contract for the project of “Promotion of extracurricular activities through public schools in Jerusalem Governorate”.

Through this project, KnK will start informal education program (including supplementary session and youth program) and community participation program for youth and children in Jerusalem.

This project aims to support the youth and children economically, physically and emotionally, as well as to develop their capabilities and foster their growth.
