JERUSALEM, August 14, 2014 – (WAFA) – UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said Thursday that approximately 370,000 internally-displaced persons (IDPs) still remain in emergency shelters or with host families.

In a report titled Gaza Emergency Situation Report and published Wednesday (updated until August 13, 08:00 a.m.) , OCHA added that alternative housing will be needed for approximately 100,000 people whose homes have been destroyed or severely damaged.

The report featured a situation overview that defined key humanitarian priorities, namely humanitarian space; joint needs assessments, additional fuel supply, and strengthening response to IDPs.

Under a section titled Humanitarian Needs and Response, the report listed various humanitarian needs along with the response and gaps and constraints for each.
