Palestinian Killed as Israeli Soldier’s Bullet Penetrates Lung, Death Toll Rises to 30

BETHLEHEM, October 13, 2015 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Red Crescent Tuesday announced that a 27-year-old Palestinian from Ad-Duheisha refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, was killed by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire during clashes north of the city.

According to Muhammad ‘Awad, Director of the Ambulance and Emergency Department of the Palestinian Red Crescent Association in Bethlehem, Mutaz Zawahra was rushed to Beit Jala Government hospital after a bullet penetrated his lung during confrontations with the Israeli army on the northern entrance to the city.

He said ambulance crews rushed to save his life, however he was pronounced dead soon after.

Awad said 10 Palestinians were hit with rubber-coated steal bullets during the clashes, while many suffered from suffocation due to teargas inhalation.
