RAMALLAH, December 30, 2014 (WAFA) – The Palestinian leadership condemned the killing of 17-year-old Imam Dweikat near Zaʻtara military checkpoint to the south of Nablus, and called for supporting the Palestinian bid of statehood to end the Israeli occupation ‘crimes against the defenseless Palestinians’.

It said in a press statement: “The death of young Dweikat proves the sound decision of the Palestinian-Arab bid to the United Nations General Council to end the Israeli occupation and the suffering of the defenseless Palestinian people.”

It added, “We called on the international community to back the Palestinian bid to rescue the Palestinians from the scourge of the Israeli occupation and end its crimes against our defenseless people.”
