Palestinians Shot, Suffocate as Israeli Army Clashes with Locals, Crushes Rallies

HEBRON, October 20, 2015 (WAFA) – A number of Palestinians, including Students, Tuesday were shot and injured, while dozens others suffocated by tear gas during clashes that erupted with Israeli army across the Hebron area, according to local sources.

Clashes erupted in various locations in Hebron city; forces reportedly used live and rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters against the Palestinian locals, shooting and injuring a number of them. Dozens of suffocation cases among locals – all of whom were treated at the scene – were also reported.

Meanwhile, forces attacked students’ rallies  as they were heading toward seam zone areas; close to Israeli settlements, to protest Israel’s repeated aggression against al-Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem.

Forces fired a hail of live ammunition, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades toward the students, causing many of them to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation.

In the meantime, other forces – who attacked a similar students’ rally in Hebron’s Beit Anoun area – blocked with metal gates the road leading to the Sa’ir town’s bypass road.
