Prime Minister Urges EU to Intervene to Halt Israeli Aggression on Gaza

Rami-Hamdallah

RAMALLAH, August 20, 2014 – (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah urged Wednesday the European Union to intervene through the UN Security Council to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

During a meeting with Representative of the EU John Gatt-Rutter at the Prime Minister’s Office in Ramallah, Hamdallah stressed the need for the EU to intervene through the UN Security Council to stop the brutal Israeli aggression against defenseless civilians, especially children, women and elderly, in Gaza.

Rutter underlined the EU’s full support for the Egyptian ceasefire initiative, emphasizing the EU’s willingness to contribute to rebuilding the war-torn strip, particularly rehabilitating power grid and water network, should a lasting ceasefire agreement be hammered out.
