Rubber Coated and Live Bullets’ Injuries, Suffocation Cases during Clashes in Hebron

CLASHES BETWEEN ISRAELI SECURITY FORCES AND PALESTINIAN PROTESTERS NEAR THE WEST BANK VILLAGE OF BITDUKU

HEBRON, July 15, 2014 (WAFA) – Confrontations, Tuesday at dawn, took place at different locations in Hebron between Palestinians and Israeli forces, where dozens of Palestinians were wounded with live ammunition and rubber-coated metal bullets, while others suffered from suffocation due to teargas inhalation.

According to WAFA correspondent, clashes erupted in Bab Al-zawya area at the Hebron trade center, Ras Al-Jura, Halhoul Bridge north of Hebron, Zeif area in the south, as well as at the town of Beit Ummar to the north.

Nine Palestinians where shot and injured with live ammunition at Halhoul Bridge and in the town of Beit Ummar, while dozens others were shot and injured with rubber-coated steel bullets, in addition to tens of suffocation cases.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces fired a tear gas canister towards an ambulances belonging to the Red Crescent while at the bridge of Halhoul, breaking its windows and causing suffocation to the crew. The injured were taken to the Red Crescent ambulance station in Halhoul.
