Settlers Assault Palestinian Workers in Jerusalem, Israeli Police Turn Blind Eye to the Attack

JERUSALEM, November 23, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers on Sunday attacked a number of Palestinian workers in a vegetable market in West Jerusalem, while Israeli police turned a blind eye to the attack, according to witnesses.

The sources said a group of Jewish settlers attacked Palestinians working at a vegetable stand market with metal rods and wooden sticks, as well as sprayed pepper gas at them before an Israeli police unit arrived at the scene.

Despite the settlers’ attack, police detained some of the Palestinians who were attacked, while paying no effort to apprehend any of the settlers, the sources added, which is the case when settlers conduct similar attacks against Palestinians.
