Settlers Block Town’s Main Street East of Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, October 1, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Thursday blocked the main street that connects the town of Taqou to the city of Bethlehem, hindering Palestinian locals’ movements, according to a local official.

Head of Taqou municipality, Taysir Abu Mfreh, told WAFA that a group of settlers blocked the main street in the town, which connects it to Bethlehem city, and gathered in the vicinity of schools there, after an Israeli settler was allegedly subjected to rock-throwing.

The official source said that an Israeli military force provided protection to the settlers. The main street was almost completely blocked by forces and settlers, obstructing locals’ movements.
