RAMALLAH, November 23, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers on Sunday set a Palestinian house on fire and sprayed anti-Arab graffiti on its wall in the village of Abu Falah, to the northeast of Ramallah, according to witnesses.
Villagers said that a group of settlers made their way at midnight into the village and set a house on fire after smashing its windows and throwing burning objects into it. locals heard screaming for help coming from the house and rushed to the scene to find the house on fire. They helped to put out the fire before it engulfed the whole house. The house was partially damaged.
The settlers also sprayed hate and racist graffiti on the house’s walls.
Witnesses said the settlers, driving two cars, were seen fleeing the village when local residents discovered the offensive.
The terror attack comes only 10 days after settlers set a mosque on fire in the nearby village of Mughayir.
Illegal Israeli settlers have repeatedly attacked Palestinian villages and sabotaged their property, and in many cases they assaulted mosques and set them on fire.
Two days ago, President Mahmoud Abbas warned against transferring the current political conflict into a religious strife, which is likely to engulf the region in the event that such assaults persist.
