Suffocation Cases in Confrontations near Bethlehem

CLASHES BETWEEN ISRAELI SECURITY FORCES AND PALESTINIAN PROTESTERS NEAR THE WEST BANK VILLAGE OF BITDUKU

BETHLEHEM, September 14, 2014 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians suffocated on Sunday during confrontations with the Israeli army, which erupted in Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, according to a local source.

Activist Mohammad Lutfi said confrontations erupted between Israeli soldiers and youths at the entrance of the camp, adding that the soldiers fired rubber-coated bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters towards residents and their homes, causing multiple cases of suffocation due to tear gas inhalation.
