UNDP Grants al-Azhar University €175,000 to Build Research Unit

GAZA, April 1, 2012 (WAFA) – President of Al-Azhar University in the Gaza Strip Abdul Khaliq al-Farra signed an agreement with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), which will grant the university €175,000 to build a Water and Environmental Research Unit, Sunday said a statement by Al-Azhar.

The agreement is a part of a German-funded project through the German government-owned development bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), added the statement.

Head of Infrastructure development program in UNDP Iman al-Husseini praised the university performance and efficient management of other projects, including the UNDP-funded legal clinic.
