GAZA, April 28, 2013 (WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Sunday said it has no intentions to shut down its Gaza offices, said media sources.
Spokesman Adnan Abu Hasna said that the procedures taken are administrative and have nothing to do with shutting down the offices in Gaza.
He said that only UNRWA’s general commissioner is the only authority permitted to make such decisions such as closing UNRWA’s offices.
Reports broke out saying that UNRWA is closing its offices in Gaza after Palestinian refugees protested against the reduction in its aid services.
