GAZA, August 26, 2014 (WAFA) – At least 2139 Palestinians have been killed, including 577 children, 260 women and 101 elderly, and more than 10870 others have been injured since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on July 8, according to medical statistics.
As Israeli aggression on Gaza enters its 50th day on Tuesday, at least seven Palestinians were killed and dozens others injured across the Gaza strip.
An Israeli strike targeting Beit Hanoun city to the north of the strip claimed the life of 23-year-old Mohammad al-za’anin as well as injured several others.
Israeli jet fighters targeted a vehicle, in north of Gaza City, working for the electricity distribution company, claiming the lives of two crew members who were identified as Samer Hamad, 25, and Mohammad Daher. Two others were injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, Shadi Elewa and Salim Mohammadin were killed and three others were injured following an Israeli artillery attack on the eastern Gaza neighborhood of Shujaeya.
Earlier Tuesday, two Palestinians were killed after an Israeli warplane targeted a group of people at an-Nafaq Street north of Gaza City. The fatalities were identified as Mohammad Abu Ajwa and Hassan al-Sawaf.
Meanwhile, at midnight Tuesday, Israeli jet fighter fired at least three missiles targeting the 13-storey Italian Compound Tower in northern Gaza, leveling it to the ground. 20 Palestinians were injured in the incident, including paramedics, members of the civil defense crews and two journalists.
This escalation comes two days after Israeli warplanes targeted and fully destroyed 14-storey Thafer Tower no. 4 to the south of Gaza city.
