GAZA, July 28, 2014 – (WAFA) – Four Palestinians were killed, including a child, and at least two other Palestinians were injured Monday in Israeli aerial and artillery bombardment on Gaza Strip despite a UN proposed humanitarian cease-fire for the Eid period.
A Palestinian succumbed Monday noon to her wounds she sustained a few days ago in an airstrike on Bani Suheila to the east of Khan Younes.
Earlier, Israeli tanks shelled Abu Safiyya area and the vicinity of Ash-Shuhada cemetery to the east of Jabalia, claiming the lives of two Palestinians, including a child. They were identified as Samih Jebril Jneid,4, who was hit by a shrapnel in the chest, and Mohammad Abu Loz.
Meanwhile, another Palestinian succumbed Monday afternoon to his wounds he sustained Friday in Israeli bombardment on Rafah. He was identified as Ibrahim Qishta.
Earlier, Israeli warplanes and tanks pounded several areas in Gaza Strip. Artillery shells landed near civilian homes in As-Salam neighborhood to the east of Jabalia, injuring two civilian Palestinians. They sustained light to moderate wounds.
Israeli F-16 fighter jets conducted two raids on the vicinity of Palestinians’ homes near Gaza Community College in Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood to the west of Gaza, causing extensive property damage.
Israeli tanks shelled farmlands and open fields in An-Nusseirat refugee camp. No injuries were reported.
Earlier, Israeli artillery shelling targeted Al-Zanna area to the east of Khan Younes and areas to the east of Beit Hanoun. Witnesses reported that ambulances and civil defense vehicles could not access the area due to heavy bombardment.
