RAMALLAH, January 31, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Saturday arrested five Palestinians in Ramallah and Hebron districts, in addition to several businessmen at the Israeli-controlled Beit Hanoun – Erez – border crossing, north of Gaza, according to local sources.
Forces arrested three Palestinians from the village of Maghyer, north of Ramallah, after raiding their homes. One of the people arrested was identified as Abd al-Rahman abu Alia, while the identity of the other two is still unknown.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers arrested a number of Palestinian businessmen at Beit Hanoun crossing, ‘the only operating crossing for people between Israel and the Gaza Strip. It is under complete Israeli control.’
The Palestine Detainees Studies Center confirmed the names of four of them; including, board member of the business association, Khaled Yasin Libad, and member Akram Ali Yasin, in addition to two businessmen Amir Malah Shbir, and I7san al-Shrafi.
Israeli forces regularly arrest businessmen attempting to cross Erez crossing; detaining them for hours and sometimes for days before releasing them.
Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers arrested two brothers from the city of Hebron and led them to an unknown destination. They were identified as Awad and Jawad al-Rajbi.
