RAMALLAH, July 6, 2014 (WAFA) – The United States granted the United Nations Relief and Works Agency US$39.6 million as fund support, said the UNRWA in a statement on Sunday.
The UNRWA said US$30.4 million will be allocated to support UNRWA’s basic services, such as education, health care and social services supplied to almost five million Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. Meanwhile, US$3.9 million will be allocated as a supplement to UNRWA’s projects in education, health care, and protection.
