RAMALLAH, July 8, 2014 – (WAFA) – Israeli police arrested Tuesday overnight 76 Palestinians from 1948 land (Israel), Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
Israeli police arrested 39 Palestinians from Galilee, Al-Naqab and the coast for hurling stones at police vehicles, closing streets and demonstrating in the aftermath of the massive protests that swept various Arab towns in Israel over the killing and burning of Mohammad Abu Khdeir by Israeli extremist settlers in Jerusalem.
According to Israeli police spokeswomen Luba Samri, a total of 299 Palestinians have been arrested, including dozens of minors.
Meanwhile, police conducted extensive arrest campaign in Jerusalem district, arresting 36 Palestinians.
According to Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC’s) attorney Mufid Al-Haj, 36 Palestinians were held in detention centers; 10 Palestinians are held in Al-Qashla detention center, 20 Palestinians are held in Al-Maskobiyya detention center and 6 Palestinians are held in Salah Ad-Din, Nabi Yacoub and Atarot detention and interrogation centers.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces raided Husan village in Bethlehem district, where broke into and ransacked several houses and arrested a 50-year-od Palestinian.
