Abbas Asks Egypt to Open Crossing for Special Cases

RAMALLAH, September 16, 2013 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Monday called the head of the Egyptian intelligence, Mohammed Tohami, and requested that he allows students, the sick and humanitarian cases to leave Gaza via the Gaza-Egypt borders at Rafah.

Tohami promised Abbas to allow those cases to leave Gaza in the coming days.

Rafah crossing has been closed by the Egyptian authorities for five consecutive days following an attack on a military intelligence headquarters in Rafah city, north of Sinai, which killed six army members.
