HEBRON, May 14, 2016 (WAFA) – Aggressive Israeli settlers Saturday overnight attacked a Palestinian house in Tal Rumeida neighborhood in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, injuring a woman and her child, said WAFA correspondent.
A group of settlers stormed the family house of Riyad Abu Hazza’, where they beat Abu Hazza’s wife, causing several bruises and cuts across her body.
Then one of the invaders pepper-sprayed Hazza’s daughter on her face, causing her to faint.
Local media reported Emad Abu Shamsiya, coordinator for Human Rights Coalition, as saying that a group of activists rushed to the house to help fend off settlers and provide first aid to the injured woman and her daughter before local medics reached the house.
An estimated 800 notoriously aggressive Israeli settlers live under the protection of thousands of soldiers in Hebron’s city center. The city is home to over 30,000 Palestinians.
