RAMALLAH, March 3, 2013 (WAFA) – The cabinet Sunday affirmed that the budget draft law will be completed before the end of March, said a cabinet statement.
The Cabinet in its 44 session, headed by Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, convened to resume discussion of the draft Budget Law for 2013.
It affirmed the need to increase its ongoing consultations in order to ensure the budget is prepared and finalized by the end of this month.
The statement said that Fayyad also discussed the resignation of Minister of Finance, Nabil Kasis and the reasons behind it. Fayyad affirmed that he accepted the resignation.
The Cabinet welcomed the report by the European Union’s representatives and Consuls, whose recommendations confirmed the grave danger posed by the continuation of Israeli settlement activities in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
It called for the adoption of serious measures against settlement products, warned of any investment in the settlements and called for the adoption of steps that support Palestinian presence in East Jerusalem.
