GAZA, July 10, 2014 (WAFA) – At least 78 Palestinians, including women, children and infants, were killed and more than 530 were injured since the beginning of Israel’s current aggression on Gaza which started on the 8th of July, according to medical statistics.
As Thursday marks the third day of aggression, at least 24 people were killed, most of whom are children, women, and elderly, while dozens others were injured in a series of airstrikes that targeted residents’ houses in several locations across the Gaza Strip during the past few hours.
WAFA correspondent said three people, ages 27, 30 and 35, were killed as an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft targeted their car at An-Nafaq Street north of Gaza city.
Earlier at predawn, jet fighters hit the western part of Khan Yunes, in the southern Gaza Strip, killing a family of eight people, including children and women, and injuring others. Some of the victims were not identified in the incident.
In the meantime, an Israeli warplane hit a house in Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, and killed a 30-year-old, while his wife along with his three children were injured.
Meanwhile, the beach of Khan Yunes was also a new target for Israeli jet fighters and drones where nine people were killed and 15 others were injured, including some seriously, as warplanes hit a resort on the beach earlier at night.
Jet fighters also launched a missile on Jabalia refugee camp, to the north of Gaza, where a four-year-old child was killed, while his brother was injured.
During the dawn and morning hours, warplanes and jet fighters targeted dozens of buildings, including governmental buildings, local facilities and homes in Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunes and in Gaza city, causing mass destruction.
Meanwhile, warplanes targeted a house in Sheikh Radwan quarter north of Gaza, yet no casualties were reported.
