Elderly Woman among 15 People Arrested in West Bank

RAMALLAH, February 4, 2014 (WAFA) – The Israeli forces arrested Tuesday a 62-year-old woman from Tulkarm in the north of the West Bank along with 14 other people from various other areas, local and security sources said.

Soldiers raided the Tulkarm refugee camp residence of Shadi Balawneh, a former prisoner freed in the 2011 exchange and expelled to the Gaza Strip, and arrested his 62-year-old mother, Rasmiyeh, without giving a reason, said witnesses.

Soldiers also raided the village of Duma, south of Nablus, and arrested seven people aged between 19 and 32 years after searching their family homes.

Soldiers also arrested three people aged between 24 and 38 years from Ubeidiya, a village located to the east of Bethlehem, after raiding and searching their  homes.

In Jenin district, soldiers arrested a 22-year-old resident of Burqin, west of Jenin.

They also arrested three people after raiding and searching their homes in the town of Samou, south of Hebron.
