Fayyad Condemns Israeli Sabotage of Property

RAMALLAH, February 21, 2013 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Salam Fayyad condemned Thursday Israeli army sabotage of electricity poles in the Nablus area village of Qusra and arson of cars in the same village by Israeli settlers.

He said in a statement that “this sabotage by occupation forces and settlers of property and sources of income reflects very clearly Israeli determination to undermine foundation of life for our people.”

He criticized absence of international accountability for the Israeli actions and for what he said were “serious violations of international law.”

“The international community should take practical steps to put a stop to this ongoing aggression against our people and which targets its presence on its own land,” he said.

Such acts, he warned, “endanger any real effort to bring a political solution … as well as stability and security in the region.”
