Foreign Ministry Calls on UN to Hold Bennett Accountable for Inciting against Palestinian Leadership

RAMALLAH, June 26, 2014 (WAFA) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs called, in a statement Thursday, upon the United Nations and UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon to seriously deal with remarks made by Israel’s Minister of Economy Naftali Bennett, in which he incited against the Palestinian leadership.

The ministry condemned Bennett’s “incitement against our people and their leadership,” holding the Israeli government fully responsible for the consequences of his remarks as well as demanding a public condemnation by the Israeli government.

It called for putting an end to Bennett’s “aggressive” positions which support the so called ‘price tag’ groups and all other practices which may cause the situation to blow up and escalate tension, concluded the ministry.
