RAMALLAH, September 1, 2014 – (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah discussed Monday with Representative of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Nicholas O’Regan potential projects and plans for Gaza reconstruction, said the Palestinian Government Media Center in a press release.
Hamdallah discussed with O’Regan potential projects and plans to reform the infrastructure and to explore possible ways to allow construction materials to enter the Gaza Strip during a meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office in Ramallah.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for full cooperation between the consensus government and different international organizations and institutions to exert all efforts to reconstruct what the Israeli aggression destroyed in the Gaza Strip.
O’Regan briefed the Prime Minister on mechanisms to implement the reconstruction process through the rehabilitation of the infrastructure starting with water and electricity projects. He explained that UNOPS will develop long-term plans to reconstruct the Gaza strip as well as assisting to build state institutions.
