RAMALLAH, June 3, 2014 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah stressed that the government is committed to all international agreements signed by the Palestine Liberation Organization, as well as to President Mahmoud Abbas’s political program.
He stressed that the government is committed to international political initiatives and peaceful solutions in order to achieve an independent Palestinian state on lands occupied in 1967, with Jerusalem as the capital, based on the two-state solution.
The Prime Minister was speaking during a meeting with the representatives of the European Union countries, chaired by John Gatt-Rutter, the representative of the European Union, where they were briefed on the latest developments regarding the new consensus government.
Hamdallah pointed out that the government will work on providing and enhancing services to citizens in all provinces and will work on the advancement of the vital sectors, and on solving the various issues in the Gaza Strip, especially issues regarding water.
The Prime Minister noted that most of the Arab countries expressed support for the new government. For his part, John Gatt-Rutter assured the European Union’s support for the current government.
