RAMALLAH, August 14, 2013 (WAFA) – The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine increased in July by 0.25% compared with June, said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) on Wednesday.
CPI increased by 0.65% in the West Bank, 0.61% in Gaza Strip and 0.21% in Jerusalem.
When compared to July of last year, CPI has increased by 2.54%, said the PCBS, where it increased by 4.56% in the West Bank and by 2.87% in Jerusalem, while it decreased by 0.61% in Gaza Strip.
CPI has increased by 1.85% during the first seven months of this year compared with the same period for the previous year. It has increased by 3.26% in the West Bank and 1.87% in Jerusalem, while it decreased by 0.55% in Gaza Strip.
