Israel Surveys Land near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, January 13, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities on Wednesday surveyed  a historical road that leads to Fardis mountain, east of the Dead Sea, according to local sources.

Hassan Burejeya, who monitors settlement activities in southern West Bank, told WAFA that staff from the so-called Israeli Civil Administration broke into the area and proceeded to survey the historical road, with the primary aim of disconnecting it from other areas in the West Bank.

He added that this procedure will likely isolate the village of Fardis from its Palestinian surroundings, and will deprive them from using this road to reach Bethlehem, their nearest city.
